Tampa Bay Rays signs Coca-Cola as official beverage partner

Major League Baseball’s (MLB) team Tampa Bay Rays has named Coca-Cola as the official beverage partner.
As part of the partnership, Coca-Cola will provide sparking soft drinks, bottled water and other beverages at the team’s Tropicana Field stadium. The team’s stadium was named after Tropicana in 1996. Tropicana was later bought by Pepsi Co. in 1998.
However, Tropicana Field’s naming rights contract, which ends in 2027, is separate from its beverage contacts.
Brian Auld, president of the Rays said: “We are proud to align ourselves with an outstanding organization working locally in Tampa Bay neighbourhoods and communities.
“We look forward to not only offering Coke products to our fans, but also to collaborating with their team on community projects that will make an impact in the ballpark and in the region.”
