Stephen Pearson Becomes CMO at Wordlink Sports

Worldlink Group Plc (“Worldlink Group” or “Group”)), erectile the UK listed Company with gatekeeper patents on providing changing data in real-time for mobile devices, site has announced the appointment of Stephen Pearson as Chief Marketing Officer to its rapidly expanding sports and gaming division, medicine Worldlink Sports Limited (“Worldlink Sports”).

Stephen has a proven 24 year track record in the international sports marketing, gaming and media sectors. This will be a very valuable addition to the Worldlink team as it commercialises and markets the sports betting offering across a range of high profile professional as well as amateur sports.

Having held two of the highest profile roles in international sports marketing, that of marketing director of the UEFA Champions League and serving as the first ever commercial director of the FA Premier League, Stephen has vast experience when maximising the value for corporate brands through sports. He has previously acted for several blue chip brands such as Visa, McDonalds, Electronic Arts and PlayStation.

In his role as CMO, Stephen will be instrumental in identifying and negotiating commercial  partnerships in order to generate multiple revenue streams for the online and mobile assets of the company. He will be taking responsibility for all marketing and PR functions related to the Worldlink Sports division of the Worldlink Group.

Stephen joins Worldlink after running his own successful marketing agency, for the last 12 years, which specialised in the sports and gaming markets. As a result his expertise and skills will fit well
into this new role in broking high profile sports agreements on behalf of Worldlink.

Stephen has also acted over the years on behalf of a number of global brands in the online gaming market including Partygaming PLC. As a result he has an excellent knowledge of the global gaming market both operationally and with respect to the regulatory landscape. In 2007 he was responsible for creating and successfully organising the world’s first ever million dollar backgammon tournament with Partygaming PLC.

One of his first tasks will be to support the PC-based version and mobile application of the Worldlink/BetButler betting application which is currently being rolled out to a rapidly increasing portfolio of high profile sports rights holders, allowing fans to get the very best odds provided by the BetButler service from over 60 bookmakers. Worldlink Group hope to be able to issue further announcements over the coming weeks regarding developments in Worldlink Sports.
