SPL’s Kilmarnock Get New Sponsor

August 2, 2012

One of the UK’s leading railway contractors QTS has confirmed it will be club sponsor of SPL team Kilmarnock FC for the 2012/13 season.

Alan McLeish, Director of QTS said: “Everyone at QTS is really looking forward to supporting Killie, our local club. QTS and Killie share a very similar ethos, with community at the heart of both organisations and we both see ourselves very much as a family that pulls together to get the best possible results.

“The entire QTS team is eager to see our partnership help Killie enjoy a fantastic season, starting on Saturday against Dundee at Rugby Park. I can’t wait to see the boys run out with the QTS logo on their famous blue and white strips. We are looking forward to the season getting underway and we wish Kenny and the team all the very best for a successful campaign.”

Kilmarnock Chairman Michael Johnston said: “I’m delighted to welcome QTS as our principal sponsor for season 2012 – 13 in what I hope will be a long and successful partnership.

“As soon as I met Alan McLeish, his enthusiasm for football and his genuine desire to support Kilmarnock FC as a team and as a vital component in the community was evident. Even now, at the inception of our relationship, I can say that QTS has already shown a willingness to engage with the club and a determination to be at the heart of the club’s activities, which bode well for the future.”

Killie manager Kenny Shiels added that he was absolutely delighted that QTS will be club sponsors for the season ahead. He said: “I’ve been really impressed with Alan. He has met with me a couple of times already and has brought some fantastic enthusiasm to our club.

“QTS will deliver valuable support to the team for which we are very grateful and speaking on behalf of the football department, we are very aware of the strength a worthy sponsor can bring to a club. I look forward to a successful relationship with our new sponsor, QTS.”

Established in 1990 by Alan McLeish, QTS has become a national multi-discipline organisation with an extensive skill base offering a range of services including railway operations, environmental services, civil engineering, training, vegetation management and drainage.
