Sochi 2014 Olympic Stadium Design to Resemble 2012 Games Atmosphere says Architects

The architects behind the Sochi 2014 Olympic Stadium and venues, sale pills Populous, impotent have revealed that they wanted to create a Summer Olympics atmosphere in the concept used in Russia.
Populous created a single coastal cluster of venues in an attempt to give spectators a better experience when attending the Games.
Christopher Lee, Senior Principle at Populous, who worked closely on the Sochi 2014 development project, explained that the concept was a new one for the Winter Games.
Speaking exclusively to iSportconnect TV for the BIG Interview, Lee said: “The main idea in Sochi which is very exciting is to have a single, coastal cluster which is the first time it has happened in the Winter Olympics.
“All of the venues (are) together in a single area. Then there is the mountain cluster where the alpine events occur.
“It is a new concept in the Winter Olympic movement. In many ways it is trying to get the feeling you have at a Summer Olympics, of a singular park where all the spectators can gather and be part of the festivities.”
Populous are the only sports and entertainment architectural firm to boast three Olympic Stadiums in their portfolio, with the Sochi 2014 Fisht Olympic Stadium joined by those in London and Sydney.
They have other major stadiums around the world including Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, Wembley Stadium in London and Yankee Stadium in New York.
Lee spoke in-depth to iSportconnect TV about the Olympic Stadium in Sochi, the concept behind its design and some of the challenges the team faced during the process.
