adidas 

Partnership Began: 2007

adidas is the official sportswear partner of London 2012. 

adidas have marketing and licensing rights to London 2012, and they will provide kit for the British Olympic Association and British Paralympic Association in London 2012. Games Officials, London 2012 staff and volunteers will also be kitted out in adidas sportswear during the Games.

adidas Global CEO Herbert Heiner, said: “We will play a major role in what promises to be one of the best sporting events the world has ever seen.” 

BMW 

Partnership Began: 2009 

BMW has invested over £1bn in the UK since 2000 and employs over 8,000 people in manufacturing, distribution and financial services in this country. 

BMW is the exclusive automotive sponsor of the 2012 games. 

BMW will support London 2012’s bid commitment to have a low emission Games-time fleet to help deliver its ‘low carbon’ and ‘healthy living’ Games objectives. 

Ian Robertson, member of the board of management of BMW AG, said: “This partnership will be an inspiration for our customers, employees, dealers and suppliers.” 

BP

Partnership Began: 2008

As the official Oil and Gas Partner and London 2012’s third Sustainability Partner, BP will be responsible for providing fuelling facilities for the vehicles required to keep the Games 

In addition, BP will provide Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for catering, vehicle washing facilities and technical support services, including a system for tracking and reporting carbon emissions.

British Airways

Partnership Began: 2008 

UK airline British Airways are Tier One London 2012 partner in the airline category. 

Willie Walsh, former British Airways chief executive, said: ‘As one of Britain’s most high profile and iconic brands, it is right that we should sponsor the Games in our home city. “ 

BT 

Partnership Began: 2008 

British Telecom are the Official Communications Services Partner of London 2012.

BT will be responsible for providing all communications services to LOCOG which are required to stage the Games. 

At Games-time, they will also be responsible for providing all communications services to the operational workforce and at venues. In addition, BT will receive exclusive marketing rights and usage rights to the London 2012 logo within their sector. 

BT are also a sustainable partner providing a platform to discuss and drive the sustainability agenda.

EDF 

Partnership Began: 2007 

EDF is a Tier One sponsor of the London 2012 Olympic Games in the utility services sector. 

EDF will play a key role as a sustainability partner of London 2012 by helping to ensure London 2012 is a truly sustainable Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, as well as a platform for uniting people and business in addressing climate change issues. 

Pierre Gadonneix, former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of EDF, previously said: “With these Olympic and Paralympic Games, we want to deliver the vision of inspiring future generations and leaving a lasting legacy, in sport and in society. This deal is a valuable investment in the international development of our brands in our key markets. It will help inspire our customers and our employees across the EDF group.” 

Lloyds TSB

Partnership Began: 2007 

Lloyds TSB is the exclusive banking partner for London 2012. and was credited of being the first domestic sponsor to sign up. 

Lloyds TSB is using its partnership with London 2012 to involve its customers and the community in the unique excitement of the Games experience. 

Tier Two Supporters:

Adecco

Partnership Began: 2009 

Adecco S.A. is a human resources and fortune 500 company. It is based in over 60 countries. 

Adecco is the Official Recruitment Services Supplier of London 2012. 

Catherine King,  formerChief Executive Officer, Adecco Group UK, previously said: Adecco has an enviable track record in successfully delivering recruitment services to world class sporting events; and we believe that many analogies can be drawn between the workplace and sport.”

ArcelorMittal

Partnership Began: 2010

ArcelorMittal is the Official Steel Supporter of the Games. 

As part of the deal ArcelorMittal built a massive structure called the Orbit. The steel sculpture is Britain’s largest piece of public art and is intended to be a permanent, lasting legacy of London’s hosting of the 2012 Summer Olympics, assisting in the post-Olympics regeneration of the Stratford area.

Cadbury

Partnership Began: 2008 

Cadbury is  one of Britain’s leading confectionery companies. 

Cadbury is the official confectionery and ice cream supporter for London 2012. They will supply all confectionary and packaged ice cream sold at official London 2012 outlets at Games time. 

Todd Stitzer, former CEO Cadbury plc, said: “London 2012 is a huge opportunity for us all to celebrate everything that is great about Britain and to bring local communities together throughout the UK.” 

Cisco

Partnership Began: 2009 

American multinational corporation, Cisco is the Official Network Infrastructure Supporter for London 2012. 

They received the contract following Nortel’s deal being terminated. 

Deloitte

Partnership Began: 2007 

Deloitte will be the official professional services supporter of London 2012. 

Deloitte is the exclusive provider of professional advisory services to LOCOG, including tax, human capital, management consulting, and financial support through secondments and advisory work. 

John Connolly, former Deloitte Senior Partner and Chief Executive, previously said: “This is a fabulous opportunity for everyone in our firm, and a great platform for the Deloitte brand. Thomas Cook

Partnership Began: 2009 

During the games Thomas Cook will provide a range of short break packages that will include accommodation, transport and event tickets for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

UPS 

Partnership Began: 2009

UPS is the Official Logistics and Express Delivery Supporter of London 2012. 

UPS will undertake the operation of the Games Logistics and Command Centre as well as manage all of LOCOG’s transportation and logistical operations, providing an integrated supply chain solution that includes venue logistics services, warehousing services and the transportation network of vans and lorries that links them. 

In addition UPS will also be responsible for all customs and freight forwarding and courier services for London 2012 with a dedicated fleet of up to 120 vehicles, including electric zero-emission vehicles. UPS staffing will include more than 2,000 people for both operational and customer-facing roles.
