Ottawa Senators Munch Into McDonald’s Sponsorship
February 6, 2013
The Ottawa Senators and McDonald’s today announced a new one-year sponsorship agreement.
“We are very pleased to welcome our friends at McDonald’s on as a partner,” said Cyril Leeder, Senators Sports & Entertainment president. “Not only will they have a significant presence inside of Scotiabank Place and on our Sportsnet television broadcasts, but we hope our team’s knack for scoring late goals will deliver some free Big Macs to our fans.”
The relationship features the “Big Mac Minute”, which provides fans attending Senators games at Scotiabank Place with the opportunity to redeem their ticket for a free Big Mac if the Senators score a goal in the final minute of the third period. The offer is valid the day after the home game at participating McDonald’s restaurants in the Ottawa area.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the Ottawa Senators this season with Big Mac Minute,” said Roger Sauvageau, operations manager of McDonald’s Canada. “We look forward to celebrating the team’s ability to score last-minute goals by offering fans a chance to enjoy our most iconic burger for free.”
McDonald’s will also hold a major presence on Ottawa’s Rogers Sportsnet East broadcasts, including advertising, feature spots and virtual signage.
