Oakland A’s to Sponsor 2013 Intermediate Little League World Series

MLB franchise Oakland Athletics have agreed a partnership with the California District 57 Little League to sponsor the 2013 Inaugural Intermediate Little League World Series, tadalafil it was announced today.

Held in Liverrmore, diagnosis California from July 30 through August 5, ten teams from around the world will compete to be the World Champion in the Intermediate Division. This new division features players aged 11-13 to play an Intermediate format which includes 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot bases, also known as “50/70”.

“The Oakland A’s have been a long time supporter of programs that help to improve the quality of life for people throughout the Bay Area,” said Dave Wetmore, World Series Tournament Director. “The A’s and their “Green Collar” style of baseball fits in perfectly with our program. We’re excited to have them on board.”

“The Little League World Series is a time honored tradition with many ties to the Bay Area,” stated Steve Fanelli, Executive Director of Ticket Sales & Operations at the Oakland Athletics. “We hope that our support of the Intermediate Little League World Series can help to create the same tradition, all while supporting today’s youth and the Tri-Valley as a community.”

The Intermediate Division began as a two-year pilot program, before becoming an official division in 2012. Little League Baseball was founded in 1939 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania
