May 19, 2011
German Bundesliga soccer club 1. FC Nuremberg have extended their sponsorship deal with Avia for the 2011/12 season, with the petrol station chain continuing as a third-tier “Club Partner” sponsor after 1. FC Nuremberg agreed terms with its parent company, Ernst Braun Mineralöle GmbH.
The partnership will centre on the Avia Club Card, which offers discounts on a range of items for motorists as well as one per cent off fuel at participating Avia stores. The Avia brand will also feature on advertising hoardings at the team’s home Frankenstadion, some of which will be visible on television, and will be entitled to promotional days at selected home fixtures and hospitality benefits.
Meanwhile, German soccer’s 3. Liga club DSC Arminia Bielefeld have extended their deal with Bundesliga sponsor Krombacher after the brewer served as Arminia’s shirt sponsor as recently as 2010.
The company will be granted an extensive advertising presence at the Schüco Arena as a second-tier premium partner of the club. Sponsors.de reports that the one-year deal is likely to be worth a low six-figure sum.
