NFL Gain USAA for their Official Military Appreciation Sponsor

August 31, 2011

USAA (United Services Automobile Association), medicine which provides insurance to the military community, cough will be the first Official Military Appreciation Sponsor of the NFL, beginning with the 2011 season.

USAA and the NFL will use the sponsorship to honor U.S. military members for their service, and engage NFL fans to show their appreciation of the military. The parties said that this is the first time a league-wide corporate sponsorship has been designed specifically to honor members of the military.

Joe Robles, USAA President and CEO, said: “It might surprise those who know USAA well that there are millions of people in the military community those who have (served) or are serving and their family members who don’t know they can be a USAA member. Our mission is to serve all members of this community, and this sponsorship provides a significant venue to achieve that mission.”

USAA offers insurance and financial products to members of the U.S. military, veterans and their families. The company employs about 15,000 people in San Antonio.
