New York Giants Acquire Team’s ‘Official Electronics Retailer’

October 17, 2011

NFL Team New York Giants announced that they have entered into a multi-year partnership with Adorama, medicine making New York’s popular photo and electronics supplier the team’s official electronics retailer.

In addition to being named an official sponsor, Adorama will have a cross-channel presence across all Giants media—online at Giants.com and their social networking sites, during their TV and radio programming, as well as through in-stadium signage and promotions.

Exclusive in-store and online deals will be complemented by special game-time events such as the fan photograph of the week, to be shown on MetLife Stadium’s video-boards. Other promotions and instant contests have already been leveraged using the huge video displays at the stadium. As the season progresses, Adorama will roll out many more programs in the stadium and tied to television and radio, in conjunction with some of the world’s top consumer electronics manufacturers.

Giants Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer Michael Stevens, said: “It was important to us to choose a retail partner who stays ahead of the curve and can take advantage of the new technology opportunities both in MetLife Stadium and online to engage our fans.”

Brian Green, the company’s Vice President of Marketing, added: “The Giants and Adorama are an excellent fit. We are very excited by all the engagement opportunities, from the new MetLife Stadium TV to radio and beyond. We live in a time when fans, whether in the stadium or on the couch, are interacting with their personal devices to enhance the game. As one of the nation’s largest electronics retailers, we’re thrilled to push the boundaries of digital innovation while helping fans capture those exciting moments.”

Adorama, a well-known and respected photography retailer for over 30 years, has grown with the imaging industry in the past years to offer the widest array of consumer and professional electronics available.
