Motorola Rising for IPL Sponsorship

American telecommunications company Motorola has become the new kit sponsor of Indian Premier League cricket team Rising Pune Supergiants.

The deal will begin on April 5 with the launch of the 10th edition of the Indian Premier League.

The Motorola logo will be seen on the front of the team’s shirt, marking the first time that the handset manufacturer has invested in an association with an IPL team.

Pune made headlines in February, when they made English all-rounder Ben Stokes the highest-paid overseas player in the history of the IPL.

The team finished seventh in the 2016 edition of the IPL, their first season competing.
