Messi ‘calm’ Over Tax Fraud Allegations

Argentine World Player of the Year Lionel Messi has played down allegations of tax fraud against him and his father and is confident his advisers will resolve the case.

Prosecutors in Catalonia said the sales of Messi’s image rights had been hidden through companies in Belize, Switzerland, the UK and Uruguay.
Messi however has said he is not worried about the situation and in a post-training news conference commented: “I am very calm. I never take care of that stuff myself and neither does my father.
“We have our lawyers and our wealth managers to take care of that and we trust them and they will sort this out.
“The truth is that I don’t have a clue about all this and that is why we have people taking care of it.”
The Barcelona attacker earns just over £13m ($19.8m) a season in wage according to Forbes and an extra £14m ($21.3m) in sponsorship agreements.
