January 4, 2013
Oakley, order Inc. have added another brand ambassador with Bubba Watson donning the company’s performance golf apparel.
The addition of Watson further expands Oakley’s roster of golf greats who revere the icon of innovation and style.
“Oakley gets it, cialis ” said Watson. “I’m proud to join their family because they love the game and they never stop pushing technology to make the game better. Whatever they can do — whatever can be done — Oakley will do it. I respect that.”
“We are honored to welcome Bubba to the Oakley Golf family, sale ” said Scott Bowers, SVP of Global Marketing and Brand Development at Oakley. “He is a Masters Champion who fuels excitement with amazing drives and unbelievable shot making, and his personality brings a whole new flavor to the game.”
“Oakley has the kind of attitude I connect with,” Watson continued. “It’s about keeping it fun but staying locked-in on achieving the best, even when it means taking chances. Oakley doesn’t get bogged down with the kind of thinking everybody else is stuck on. They respect the game as much as I do, and they take good care of their family. That’s why I’m happy to join them.”
Engineered to bring out the best in pros and amateurs alike, Oakley performance golf apparel is optimized for comfort and freedom of movement, and it features premium innovations including the best-in-class moisture management of O Hydrolix technology.
Watson appreciates what Oakley performance golf apparel can do for him during competition. “If you’re out there and you’ve got anything distracting you, you’re done,” said the champion. “Golf demands so much focus. That’s why Oakley puts so much into comfort.”
In addition to relying on Oakley’s relentless performance innovation, golfers appreciate the company’s unique sense of style and share its perspective on bringing originality to the game while still respecting its heritage.
Watson added, “Style is important because personality is part of what makes fans connect with golf, especially the new generation of players. Oakley sets the pace. And I need a clothing company that can keep me looking good!”
“We’re all about the seamless blend of style and performance that delivers the unexpected and reinvents possibility along the way,” added Bowers. “Bubba can hit a ball into the next time zone, and as far as the unexpected goes, good luck trying to predict what he’ll do next. There is a synergy between Bubba and Oakley, and our new partnership will light the fuse of what promises to be a major year in golf for the company.”
A native of Florida, Gerry Lester “Bubba” Watson Jr. is one of the few left-handers on the PGA Tour. He was the 2012 Masters Champion and is one of the longest drivers on the tour, capable of generating ball speeds approaching 200 mph and achieving distances greater than 350 yards.
This follows Oakley announcement that former Masters champion Zach Johnson joined the team.
