Marshawn Lynch Celebrates Super Bowl Berth with Monster Endorsement

January 19, 2014

Super Bowl bound Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has become the new brand ambassador for personal audio and headphone supplier Monster, Inc.

Lynch, an Oakland, Calif. native, was a first round pick in the 2007 draft. Nicknamed “Beast Mode,” he scored two touchdowns in last week’s divisional playoff game, leading his team to the upcoming conference championship game.

At Monster, he joins the likes of 4-time Golden Glove winner and 2-time World Series Champion outfielder Shane Victorino, professional basketball superstar and media personality Shaquille O’Neal, UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis, Super Model and actor Tyson Beckford and international recording artist Jay Sean as brand-marketing partners for the company.

As a Brand Ambassador, Marshawn will be used in print, online and broadcast ad campaigns.

“Head Monster” Noel Lee said: “Marshawn is a Monster at heart. Being a Monster takes unbridled passion, and his passion on the field translates to everything he does off the field—especially his work in the community. We are excited to add him to our roster of brand ambassadors.”

On becoming a Monster brand ambassador, Lynch noted: “I’m a big fan of Monster. They make the best sounding headphones, and their Pure Monster Sound™ is hella tight. Music is what drives me on and off the field. We’ll also be working together to support my charity in my hometown of Oakland and in other communities as well.”

Seattle Seahawks beat the San Francisco 49ers 23-17 to set up a Super Bowl matchup against Denver Broncos.
