The Role

We are searching for a Commercial Manager – Women’s Football who will oversee the day-to-day delivery of commercial programme for the Barclays FA Women’s Super League, and The FA Women’s Championship.

The successful candidate will act as liaison with Club representatives, FA internal teams and external suppliers on all aspects of commercial delivery including management of associated governance for the leagues.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work with relevant personnel at BFAWSL and FAWC clubs (incl. General Managers and commercial & marketing contacts) on management and delivery of commercial rights.
  • Work with relevant FA internal teams (i.e. Broadcast, Partnerships, Communications, Marketing) to implement commercial rights programme for BFAWSL and FAWC and ensure delivery of rights for key stakeholders.
  • Key point of contact for BFAWSL and FAWC clubs to provide support and guidance where needed to develop club commercial activity and respond to commercial queries.
  • Development and delivery of commercial workshops for BFAWSL and FAWC clubs.
  • Work with the Senior Commercial Manager (Women’s Football) on commercial aspects of League governance – including the Club Licence, Commercial Regulations and Broadcast Regulations.
  • Liaise with FA legal counsel and other relevant FA internal teams on future updates and amends to commercial aspects of League governance – including the Club Licence, Commercial Regulations and Broadcast Regulations.
  • Work with the Senior Commercial Manager Women’s football on the review and rewording of commercial elements of BFAWSL and FAWC Club Licence Application.
  • Coordination of and associated reporting/delivery of agreed actions from BFAWSL & FAWC Commercial Committees.
  • Oversee implementation of league matchday ground dressing across BFAWSL and FAWC (in conjunction with the appointed League Ground Dressing Supplier and FA Partnerships, Marketing and Facilities teams), ensuring delivery of commercial rights for all stakeholders.
  • Coordination of internal reports and presentations as required. (e.g. Board reporting, KPIs)
  • Budget management as appropriate. (e.g. ground dressing, partnership client servicing)

Venue Hospitality Infrastructure Manager – FIFA Qatar 2022

FIFA and the Qatar LOC has created a new Joint Venture, which will be responsible for the operational delivery of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM.

This role is key to ensuring the successful delivery of the Commercial Hospitality Programmes with focus on the readiness of all technical aspects of Power, Utilities and Overlay builds and providing support to stakeholders where remedial action is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly responsible for ensuring construction readiness and overlay installation of Hospitality Facilities, Requirements, Utilities (power, Water/Sewage, IT&&, CATV) and Overlay for Indoor hospitality Areas (including kitchens) and Hospitality Villages.
  • Prepares any necessary paperwork for the handover of the HOS facilities, indoor and outdoor, from SC/Q22 to the Rights Holder.
  • Attends all HOS inspections, including the FIFA-LOC inspection, Rights Holder inspections, Affiliates Visits, Supplier visits etc. Reports on the inspection to FIFA HOS, ensures issue resolution at venue level.
  • Ensures updated technical documentation from FIFA/MH for all HOS facilities and utilities (power, water/sewage, IT&T, CATV etc) is correctly distributed to the LOC Venue Team, Overlay supplier and Stadium constructor, etc.
  • Ensures operational readiness of Hospitality Infrastructure and Utilities, such as: Maintenance of facilities (HVAC, lifts/escalators, kitchen systems, hydraulic systems, CATV, and other stadium-owned equipment in general), Power availability (including ensuring generator operations and maintenance as per HOS needs/schedule), Logistic Routes, etc; including on match days.
  • Acting as FIFA HOS first point of contact at the Venue for Infrastructure related issues.
  • As part of venue HOS team, provides feedback, operational readiness status and general support during key operational phases to Venue Management Team.
  • Any other duties that may be required.

Qualifications and experience

  • Experience as venue manager either in Hospitality or Infrastructure at multi stadium events
  • 5 years’ experience of mega events
  • 2 years’ project management
  • 2 years’ experience of management of multiple suppliers
  • Technical, architectural or design experience
  • Excellent knowledge of infrastructure and overlay delivery management
  • Experience of large-scale event operations
  • Experience in high volume, multi-site 5* Hospitality operations and delivery

Since its inception in 1991, the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ has grown exponentially, becoming the most-watched women’s single-sport event globally. The most recent edition – the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™ – attracted a record audience of over 1.1 billion viewers, smashing domestic viewing figures in many territories.

The 2023 edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand and will take place in nine Host Cities across ten stadiums from 20 July to 20 August 2023. Following the amazing success of the 2019 event, the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 will be the first edition of the tournament to feature 32 teams, including more Asian teams than ever before.

Position Summary:

Based at the EL HQs in Nyon (Switzerland), the Communication and Project Manager will work and have responsibilities on projects and activities that make a measurable contribution to the execution of the EL’s new and ongoing related projects with focus on communications, relations/services to the member leagues and their clubs, and collective business/league development projects. The overall goal is to support the EL members and their clubs in their sustainable development on and off the pitch.

Position Responsibilities:

The Communication and Project Manager responsibilities will evolve as priority areas and projects are defined, however, the role will focus primarily on the following tasks:

  • Support the EL Administration team in the strategic development of its social media channels and the Club Advisory Platform (CAP);
  • Content creation and delivery for the EL communication platforms but also for EL workshops, seminars and events for member leagues and their clubs;
  • Proactively support initiatives to drive the growth and development of our current international media rights collective project with ELEVEN and OneFootball; and
  • Research and editorial work related to EL Reports and Publications.

Position Requirements:

  • Valid work permit/visa to live and work in Switzerland or being a candidate that can apply for a work visa as an EU National.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • Excellent editorial and writing skills in English language (fluency in English language both written and verbal is essential for this position).
  • Good interest and understanding of structure and organisation of professional football competitions both at domestic and international level. Previous experience in professional football and/or any other professional sports related organisation is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex problems and easily communicate findings.

The Head of Football Development is a critical position that will have strategic responsibility  for delivering ‘A flexible, inclusive and appealing playing offer’  one of six key strategic objectives outlined in the FAW’s strategy ‘Our Wales’ (2021-26).  

The role will be responsible for delivering high level targets of: – 

1. 120,000 registered players by 2026;

Responsibilities:

  • Own the creation of all public relations assets, including press releases, interview preparation, and media alerts. Overseeing these assets includes designating tasks for junior staff as appropriate
  • Manage interview requests for half of the team’s roster and select members of the front office and technical staff
  • Maintain strong relations with coaching staff and players, as well as ACFC’s editor and third-party creative companies
  • Serve as the secondary broadcast liaison for all home matches and primary liaison during applicable away games
  • Serve as the primary stakeholder for game day. This role includes managing the press box, overseeing game day staff, assisting with statistics, helping credentialed media with any game day asks, and helping to coordinate the post-game presser
  • Manage the onboarding process of all interns, training them in all PR basics, including coverage tracking, media list building, email blasts, and the creation of press releases, media alerts, and interview preparation documents
  • Own the game notes for the team, which includes updating game notes every game working across the organization to gather new team statistics, individual statistics, projected starting XI, recaps, and notes 
  • Attend daily morning meetings with the VP of PR, twice-weekly team check-ins, and other internal department meetings as needed 
  • Work closely with other departments, particularly content, partnerships, and community, to activate significant team announcements and branding moments 
  • This role will travel to many of the away matches and is a hybrid of working remotely and from the Santa Monica-based office

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Communications, Marketing, or related fields
  • Three to Five years of experience with other sports teams is preferred, including college, semi-pro, and professional.
  • Familiarity with the sports industry and understanding of the sport of soccer
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to work a flexible schedule with multiple tasks in progress at a time
  • Knowledge of AP Style is preferred.

Digital Learning And Projects Manager – The Premier League

The Premier League is responsible for the development of the Professional Game coaching workforce in partnership with the Professional Game partner organisations (PL, FA, EFL, PFA, LMA) via the ongoing delivery of the Integrated Coaching Strategy (ICS.) The Premier League have developed a long-term strategic plan named the Elite Coaching Plan (ECP) with the goals of; 1) Elevating the quality of the English Coaching System and; 2) Changing the global perception of the English Coaching System.

The role

The purpose of the role is to project manage learning and technology-based projects that support the coaching workforce across all Premier League and EFL Clubs. As a Digital Learning and Project Manager you will:

· Develop and project manage the digital learning strategy for the wider professional coaching workforce within Premier League and EFL Clubs

· Assist with the creation and implementation of coach development and support content through the innovative use of technology and digital learning strategies

· Harness the role of the Learning Management System (LMS) – the Premier League’s virtual learning environment – to enhance coach engagement and experience

· Work closely with the Digital Learning Lead to design programmes in line with the ‘Premier League Learning Approach’

· Develop and implement blended learning concepts including the use of different delivery methods and media (e.g. face to face, e-learning, apps, eBooks, video, podcasts, virtual classroom and other digital tools)

· Manage the rollout and content production of a new Pro Game Coach App and work with the professional game partners (FA, EFL, PFA, LMA)

· Drive consistency in solution design, using digital learning best practice and innovation while continuously building knowledge of new digital learning solutions, keeping up to date with new thinking

The tender process will be open on March 18, 2022. The Parties invited to participate are requested to submit their bids until 12 pm (PY time) on April 20, 2022.

The tender concerns the Media Rights of CONMEBOL Libertadores, CONMEBOL Sudamericana and CONMEBOL Recopa, the most important and prestigious club competitions in the region, and is divided into two territories: Territory A, Brazil, and Territory B, Latin America, which includes the other 9 CONMEBOL countries in South America, Guyana, French Guiana, Suriname, Central America and Caribbean Basin Islands.

There will be eight available packages (A to H) to choose from, which range from Free and Pay match packages to the new Instant Clips and Highlights packages. The Rights may be exercised as from, but not before, 1 January 2023 until 31 December 2026.

The RFP is issued by CONMEBOL with the support and consultancy from FC DIEZ MEDIA and the process will be audited by Ernst & Young (EY). FC DIEZ MEDIA, an IMG-owned sports company, is the exclusive agency for the exploitation of commercial rights of CONMEBOL club competitions. Ernst & Young (EY) is one of the world’s leading independent auditing and transparency firms and ensures compliance of the entire tender process.

All official communication in respect of the tender, as well as the bids and queries related thereto, will be channeled exclusively through the e-mail rfp.clubes@ar.ey.com. CONMEBOL will make the final decision on the granting of the Rights, based on the options received by FC DIEZ MEDIA. In addition, FC DIEZ MEDIA will manage the process of selling the Rights and the subsequent negotiation of any agreement.
