The Department

The partnerships department is responsible for acquiring and managing the commercial partners of Aston Villa Football Club. The partnership management team are the gatekeepers for delivering partnership rights and therefore work closely with all areas of the Football Club. The team works at a fast pace and due to the nature of delivering partnerships activations across a broad spectrum of brands, working days and projects will be extremely varied.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Partnership Account Manager to join an ambitious partnerships team based at Villa Park. The role will be responsible for managing accounts for some of the Clubs most important strategic partners.

You will have the ability to drive partners forward and create best in class activations and case studies. The ideal candidate will be proactive and take responsibility to ensure their partners are managed to the highest possible standard and must be comfortable demonstrating and leading on areas of partnership management such as onboarding, rights delivery, reporting, budget management, relationship building and renewal practices.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILIITES:

Previous experience working across both the Australian and New Zealand markets will be a distinct advantage, including previous work experience in football and/or major events in professional sports. The successful candidate will have knowledge of sports marketing, including sponsorship and brand communication.

Overview of the role

We’re looking for someone to take on the challenge of helping activate our brand across Sponsorship and PR as we move into the most exciting period in Vanarama’s history as we become part of the AutoTrader family. We need a creative, strategic, and highly organised person with a passion for football, content, and brand activation. This role sits across both football and automotive so will offer great variety. You’ll be tasked with growing our authority in electric vehicle leasing for organic search by building a strong digital PR strategy. Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach and develop two direct reports through strong leadership and strong personal development plans.
  • Working with our SEO/Digital PR agency you’ll help design and implement a digital PR strategy that earns us sustained coverage across high domain authority websites.

  • Identify opportunities to amplify Vanarama’s sponsorship of The National League by immersing yourself within the football news cycle and understanding the day-to-day goings on at National League level.
  • Working with the National League and agency partners you’ll be the guardian of our brand across all sponsorship channels including stadiums, events, social media and in PR.
  • Manage the key tentpole events of the National League football calendar including the end of season ceremonies and Promotion Final at Wembley Stadium.

The Role

We are searching for a Commercial Manager – Women’s Football who will oversee the day-to-day delivery of commercial programme for the Barclays FA Women’s Super League, and The FA Women’s Championship.

The successful candidate will act as liaison with Club representatives, FA internal teams and external suppliers on all aspects of commercial delivery including management of associated governance for the leagues.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work with relevant personnel at BFAWSL and FAWC clubs (incl. General Managers and commercial & marketing contacts) on management and delivery of commercial rights.

Venue Hospitality Infrastructure Manager – FIFA Qatar 2022

FIFA and the Qatar LOC has created a new Joint Venture, which will be responsible for the operational delivery of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM.

This role is key to ensuring the successful delivery of the Commercial Hospitality Programmes with focus on the readiness of all technical aspects of Power, Utilities and Overlay builds and providing support to stakeholders where remedial action is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly responsible for ensuring construction readiness and overlay installation of Hospitality Facilities, Requirements, Utilities (power, Water/Sewage, IT&&, CATV) and Overlay for Indoor hospitality Areas (including kitchens) and Hospitality Villages.
  • Prepares any necessary paperwork for the handover of the HOS facilities, indoor and outdoor, from SC/Q22 to the Rights Holder.
  • Attends all HOS inspections, including the FIFA-LOC inspection, Rights Holder inspections, Affiliates Visits, Supplier visits etc. Reports on the inspection to FIFA HOS, ensures issue resolution at venue level.
  • Ensures updated technical documentation from FIFA/MH for all HOS facilities and utilities (power, water/sewage, IT&T, CATV etc) is correctly distributed to the LOC Venue Team, Overlay supplier and Stadium constructor, etc.
  • Ensures operational readiness of Hospitality Infrastructure and Utilities, such as: Maintenance of facilities (HVAC, lifts/escalators, kitchen systems, hydraulic systems, CATV, and other stadium-owned equipment in general), Power availability (including ensuring generator operations and maintenance as per HOS needs/schedule), Logistic Routes, etc; including on match days.
  • Acting as FIFA HOS first point of contact at the Venue for Infrastructure related issues.

Since its inception in 1991, the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ has grown exponentially, becoming the most-watched women’s single-sport event globally. The most recent edition – the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™ – attracted a record audience of over 1.1 billion viewers, smashing domestic viewing figures in many territories.

The 2023 edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand and will take place in nine Host Cities across ten stadiums from 20 July to 20 August 2023. Following the amazing success of the 2019 event, the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 will be the first edition of the tournament to feature 32 teams, including more Asian teams than ever before.

China PR, Japan, Korea Republic, the Philippines and Vietnam have all already qualified for the final tournament; Thailand and Chinese Taipei still have a chance to qualify in the play-off tournament for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 early next year.

The tender process will allow FIFA to select the media companies that are best placed to achieve FIFA’s overall objectives to deliver high quality, comprehensive coverage of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ to help accelerate the growth and development of women’s football.

Bid submissions to FIFA must be received by 10:00 CEST on Tuesday, 7 June 2022.

Through the sale of media rights for its football tournaments, FIFA generates income which is essential to support and develop the game around the world, for instance through the FIFA Forward and FIFA Women’s Development Programme.

The European Leagues (EL) – the Association of European Professional Football Leagues – is the voice of Professional Football Leagues on all matters of common interest and the official body representing the interest of domestic professional football competition organisers in the European stakeholder’s family. It is an association governed by Swiss law founded in 2005. The European Leagues represents 36 professional football leagues and associations of clubs from 30 countries, representing more than 1000 clubs from all over Europe.

During the past few years, the EL has been growing its membership structure as well as its institutional, political but also commercial influence in the football industry. The EL is now considered one of the leading international organisations in professional football and has the ambition to further develop the range of services it provides to its member leagues and their affiliated clubs. The new Communications and Project Manager will play an important role in this process.

Position Summary:

Based at the EL HQs in Nyon (Switzerland), the Communication and Project Manager will work and have responsibilities on projects and activities that make a measurable contribution to the execution of the EL’s new and ongoing related projects with focus on communications, relations/services to the member leagues and their clubs, and collective business/league development projects. The overall goal is to support the EL members and their clubs in their sustainable development on and off the pitch.

Position Responsibilities:

The Communication and Project Manager responsibilities will evolve as priority areas and projects are defined, however, the role will focus primarily on the following tasks:

  • Support the EL Administration team in the strategic development of its social media channels and the Club Advisory Platform (CAP);
  • Content creation and delivery for the EL communication platforms but also for EL workshops, seminars and events for member leagues and their clubs;
  • Proactively support initiatives to drive the growth and development of our current international media rights collective project with ELEVEN and OneFootball; and
  • Research and editorial work related to EL Reports and Publications.

Position Requirements:

  • Valid work permit/visa to live and work in Switzerland or being a candidate that can apply for a work visa as an EU National.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • Excellent editorial and writing skills in English language (fluency in English language both written and verbal is essential for this position).
  • Good interest and understanding of structure and organisation of professional football competitions both at domestic and international level. Previous experience in professional football and/or any other professional sports related organisation is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex problems and easily communicate findings.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Strong work ethic with a flexible and can-do attitude to tackle challenges and opportunities while meeting project deadlines.
