About the opportunity: We are extremely excited to be searching for a Head of Partnership Sales to come and join us in a senior leadership role as we embark on a significant chapter within the history of Everton Football Club.

As Head of Partnership Sales you will be responsible for leading a team in driving the acquisition of new commercial partners into the Everton family. You will be a target driven self-starter, with an ability to influence senior decision making.

The role will require strategic thinking – as you work with other relevant key stakeholders to develop, evolve and refine the partnership programme the Club offers to create compelling opportunities that capture the imagination of global brands and capitalises on the growing list of partnership opportunities the Club possesses.

As an exceptional salesperson, you will be responsible for leading the sales outreach to take the Club’s partnership programme to market, securing long term commercial agreements that support achieving our revenue journey.

A key focus for the role will be harnessing the commercial value and reach of the Everton brand, an engaged and expanding fanbase and our position within the most watched sports league in the world to deliver sustained growth.

The Department

The partnerships department is responsible for acquiring and managing the commercial partners of Aston Villa Football Club. The partnership management team are the gatekeepers for delivering partnership rights and therefore work closely with all areas of the Football Club. The team works at a fast pace and due to the nature of delivering partnerships activations across a broad spectrum of brands, working days and projects will be extremely varied.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Partnership Account Manager to join an ambitious partnerships team based at Villa Park. The role will be responsible for managing accounts for some of the Clubs most important strategic partners.

You will have the ability to drive partners forward and create best in class activations and case studies. The ideal candidate will be proactive and take responsibility to ensure their partners are managed to the highest possible standard and must be comfortable demonstrating and leading on areas of partnership management such as onboarding, rights delivery, reporting, budget management, relationship building and renewal practices.

Overview of the role

We’re looking for someone to take on the challenge of helping activate our brand across Sponsorship and PR as we move into the most exciting period in Vanarama’s history as we become part of the AutoTrader family. We need a creative, strategic, and highly organised person with a passion for football, content, and brand activation. This role sits across both football and automotive so will offer great variety. You’ll be tasked with growing our authority in electric vehicle leasing for organic search by building a strong digital PR strategy. We’ll also give you the creative freedom to execute standout PR and marketing campaigns across our football sponsorship to increase fan engagement with our brand. This role will also work closely with our Internal Comms team to champion our sponsorship and PR campaigns to help encourage our people to become advocates for the brand.

You’ll join our team of experienced marketing leaders determined to produce fantastic results daily. You’ll also get to manage agencies and rights holders independently to help deliver against our wider strategic and tactical objectives.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the CMO, you’ll be responsible for creating and implementing a sponsorship and PR strategy which will contribute to driving interest in Vanarama’s core product offering.
  • Manage, coach and develop two direct reports through strong leadership and strong personal development plans.
  • Working with our SEO/Digital PR agency you’ll help design and implement a digital PR strategy that earns us sustained coverage across high domain authority websites.
  • Manage relationship with journalists and help control our brand messaging across PR and social channels.
  • Identify opportunities to amplify Vanarama’s sponsorship of The National League by immersing yourself within the football news cycle and understanding the day-to-day goings on at National League level.
  • Working with the National League and agency partners you’ll be the guardian of our brand across all sponsorship channels including stadiums, events, social media and in PR.
  • Manage the key tentpole events of the National League football calendar including the end of season ceremonies and Promotion Final at Wembley Stadium.
  • Manage the editorial execution of both our PR and football content across the relevant social media channels.

About you

  • Previous experience of managing a sponsorship and/or senior experience in PR essential
  • A strong interest in football
  • Preferably you’ll have good knowledge of PR and its impact on SEO
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • A keen eye for detail with extra focus on branding and written comms
  • Experience managing and coaching a team.
  • Experience in automotive would be beneficial but not vital.
  • Hugely organised and able to prioritise your own workload.
  • Collaborative and a team player, but also comfortable working autonomously.

The Role

We are searching for a Commercial Manager – Women’s Football who will oversee the day-to-day delivery of commercial programme for the Barclays FA Women’s Super League, and The FA Women’s Championship.

The successful candidate will act as liaison with Club representatives, FA internal teams and external suppliers on all aspects of commercial delivery including management of associated governance for the leagues.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work with relevant personnel at BFAWSL and FAWC clubs (incl. General Managers and commercial & marketing contacts) on management and delivery of commercial rights.
  • Work with relevant FA internal teams (i.e. Broadcast, Partnerships, Communications, Marketing) to implement commercial rights programme for BFAWSL and FAWC and ensure delivery of rights for key stakeholders.
  • Key point of contact for BFAWSL and FAWC clubs to provide support and guidance where needed to develop club commercial activity and respond to commercial queries.
  • Development and delivery of commercial workshops for BFAWSL and FAWC clubs.
  • Work with the Senior Commercial Manager (Women’s Football) on commercial aspects of League governance – including the Club Licence, Commercial Regulations and Broadcast Regulations.
  • Liaise with FA legal counsel and other relevant FA internal teams on future updates and amends to commercial aspects of League governance – including the Club Licence, Commercial Regulations and Broadcast Regulations.
  • Work with the Senior Commercial Manager Women’s football on the review and rewording of commercial elements of BFAWSL and FAWC Club Licence Application.
  • Coordination of and associated reporting/delivery of agreed actions from BFAWSL & FAWC Commercial Committees.
  • Oversee implementation of league matchday ground dressing across BFAWSL and FAWC (in conjunction with the appointed League Ground Dressing Supplier and FA Partnerships, Marketing and Facilities teams), ensuring delivery of commercial rights for all stakeholders.
  • Coordination of internal reports and presentations as required. (e.g. Board reporting, KPIs)
  • Budget management as appropriate. (e.g. ground dressing, partnership client servicing)
