Partnerships manager – Premier League

Key Responsibilities

Head of Physical Performance – Manchester City

Manchester City Football Club’s Performance Services aim to create engaging performance environments that maximise team and individual potential. 5-Lead the ongoing development & delivery of a system of physical profiling aligned to the Physical Performance Strategy and that informs ‘What it Takes to Win’, Individual Development plans (IDP), and rehab/return to play programmes.

6-Work with coaches and your team of practitioners to ensure physical outcomes are achieved alongside technical/tactical/psychosocial outcomes through collaborative training programme design.

7-Work in collaboration with key members of the MDT to develop joined up approach to injured player management and rehab/return to play systems and processes.

8-Work with the Head of Performance Services to develop and implement a programme of needs-led learning opportunities for Physical Performance staff.

9-Lead the development and implementation of a Physical Performance student placement programme to identify and develop talented young practitioners/students.

Role specific knowledge, skills and experience: 

Essential:

  • BSc in Sport Science, Strength & Conditioning or related area.
  • A recognised postgraduate qualification (ie MSc) in Sport Science, Strength & Conditioning or related area
  • UKSCA Accreditation or equivalent
  • Extensive experience working in an elite sporting environment.
  • Extensive experience of working effectively within a high-performing interdisciplinary team.
  • Significant experience in a ‘lead’ role with responsibility for delivering physical change that impacts performance
  • Significant experience in line management/mentoring of other practitioners
  • An advanced ability to develop excellent relationships with key stakeholders (Players, Coaches, wider MDT) that enable challenge, support, and ability to positively influence the wider programme.
  • An ability to reflect on current working practice & adapt as required.
  • An advanced ability to utilise performance related data to inform practice

Group Financial Controller – The Jockey Club

One Team: Group Financial Controller (12 month Fixed Term Contract)

Based at: High Holborn, London

Contract type: Fixed Term

The Jockey Club is looking to recruit an experienced Group Financial Controller to manage the group’s internal and external reporting processes, promote a best practice financial control and compliance culture, manage the Group’s shared finance centre and to provide analysis and insight for various group functions.

Role summary

The Jockey Club operates 15 racecourses nationwide including Cheltenham, Aintree, Epsom Downs, training grounds, The National Stud and Racing Welfare. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years PQ experience, strong technical and analytical skills, and excellent communication skills with the ability to distil complex financial information to a wide range of stakeholders.

Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Central control, consolidation and management of all aspects of Group reporting, including monthly management accounts process, annual Statutory accounts preparation, cash and net debt reporting tracking headroom against the JCR banking covenants, for reporting to Exec management and main Board. Preparation of management accounts of forecasts for head office functions.
  • Lead the Shared Finance function (Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Treasury teams) in their development, implementing process improvement as identified and required and continuing its journey as a development ground for future finance talent across the Group. Build a culture of empowerment within that team. 
  • Head of Finance for Jockey Club Services, our outsourcing business. Responsible for pricing, contract reviews, client relationship, reporting.
  • Act as primary interface and co-ordination with the Group’s external auditors and tax advisers, to agree audit scope and procedures as well as timetable and ensure all audit deliverables including tax packs, are available in a timely manner.
  • Ownership of group chart of accounts and finance systems. Maintain strong financial controls across the group to preserve integrity of financial reporting and avoid unnecessary one off adjustments. Drive balance sheet reconciliations process and regular review of working capital movements as a priority.
  • Full ownership of the HMRC relationship for the Group. Main interface with HMRC for submission of all Group tax returns and management of VAT quarterly return processes, including MTD.
  • Responsibility for compliance with areas regulations such as CCO, SAO, off-payroll labour (IR35).
  • Working with the CFO to identify and evaluate alternative forms of structured finance for the business and optimizing the use of the Group’s assets. Transaction lead on future refinancing.
  • Actively participate and make a strong contribution to the Finance Leadership Team meetings and discussions on finance values, priorities and their implementation, as well as influencing Regional Finance Directors as appropriate.
  • Maintain and develop on-going processes of sharing and spreading best practice, with the rest of the Finance Leadership team, in all aspects of financial and management reporting.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the CFO, Regional Finance Directors and Heads of Finance at Jockey Club Estates and the National Stud, as well as day-to-day various external stakeholders (Banks, HMRC, HBLB, JV partners, auditors).

We are looking for applications from candidates who can demonstrate the following:

  • A professional Finance qualification, ACA or ACCA certified
  • Advanced knowledge and operation of Excel functionality
  • Proven experience of working in a PQE role within a Group/matrix environment

Reporting to the Head of Creative Media, the Senior Creative Producer will take a leading role in the creative direction of F1’s in-house video content with particular emphasis on project management. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To support the Executive Producer and Head of Creative Media in the planning, creation and development of Formula 1’s video output, with particular emphasis on high-end promotional content, broadcast features, internal corporate videos and long-form programming.
  • To manage the entire production process on multiple projects, leading the team in raising stories, scheduling and planning shoots, coordinating editors and researchers, liaising with internal and external clients and ensuring projects are completed to deadline.
  • Ensure that projects are fully compliant with F1’s internal policies and procedures.
  • To supervise work being undertaken by Editors and junior Producers, providing guidance and creative vision, delegating tasks and monitoring performance.
  • To oversee the final content production, ensuring that all the appropriate elements are technically sound and factually accurate.
  • To occasionally travel to race events or other film shoots to organise and produce video content on the field, if required.

Job Description

IMG is the global leader in Football Production, providing coverage of large-scale live events and enhancing broadcasters output with full studio analysis and non-live content.

Reporting into the Director of Content the VP, Head of Football Content will oversee all of IMG’s football related live and highlight content, outside of Premier League Productions. Working with a variety of broadcasters and federations including Channel 4, CBS, EFL and ITV.

FIFA Launches Tender Process In UK For Media Rights To FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023

FIFA has today launched an invitation to tender (ITT) in the United Kingdom for the sale of media rights to the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™.

Since its inception in 1991, the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ has grown exponentially to become the most-watched single-sport event for women globally. The most recent edition – the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™ – attracted a record audience of over 1.1 billion viewers and smashed domestic viewing figures in many territories, including the UK, where a peak audience of 11.7 million viewers was reached for the semi-final between England and the USA – the top sports audience of the year.

The 2023 edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand and will take place in nine Host Cities and ten stadiums across the two countries from 20 July to 20 August 2023. Following the amazing success of the 2019 event, the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 will be the first edition of the tournament to feature 32 teams (previously 24) following the decision by FIFA to expand the tournament to accelerate the growth and development of the women’s game. 

The tender process will allow FIFA to select the media companies that are best placed to achieve FIFA’s overall objectives to deliver high-quality, comprehensive coverage of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 and attract financial investment to help support and accelerate the growth and development of women’s football.

Bid submissions to FIFA must be received by 11am CEST on Tuesday, 12 July 2022.
