Manchester United are this season’s cash kings after finishing ahead of rivals and champions Manchester City in Premier League football’s earnings table.
The Old Trafford club received £328,491 ($443,191) more than City this campaign due to United having two more live matches televised in the UK. This meant their facilities fee was more £2.26m ($3.04m) higher.
Jose Mourinho’s side were shown live 28 times in the UK in 2017/18 with City screened 26 times.
In total, Premier League clubs received £2.42bn ($3.27bn), £2.1m ($2.83m) more than last season.
A club’s total payment is made up of UK broadcast revenue, central commercial revenues and international broadcasting revenues.
City received £38.63m ($52.12m) for winning the title, £1.93m ($2.60m) more than second-placed United, who earned £149.4m ($201.6m) from the Premier League.
