February 13, 2014
IMG Media through its subsidiary IMG Sport Video Archive have extended its deal with the Barclays Premier League for a further three years until the end of the 2015/16 season.
The worldwide deal will see IMG Sport Video Archive continue to be the Premier League’s exclusive archive partner, capsule with all media rights available. The Premier League Archive currently contains over 8,000 matches from all 21 completed seasons as well as over 450 individual programmes, including goals compilations, reviews of the season, classic matches and golden moments.
All 380 matches from the current season will be available to view via IMGSportVideoArchive.com within a few weeks of it finishing, with each subsequent season following the same pattern. In addition, various compilations featuring the best goals, bloopers and individual moments of skill will also be available at the same time, with the season’s showcase moments being captured for these collections as they happen.
Richard Wise, Senior Vice President, IMG Media, said: “We are delighted to be continuing our archive partnership with the most watched football league in the world. As before, we will work closely with the Premier League on enhancing their archive offering and providing state-of-the-art solutions to the footage requirements of their huge global customer base.”
Paul Molnar, Premier League Director of International Broadcasting and Media Operations, said: “We are pleased that IMG Media will continue to manage and develop the Premier League Archive for the next three years. They do an excellent job syndicating footage across a variety of outlets in the UK and overseas, and we look forward to continuing our relationship.”
