Horse Racing’s Big 4 Back Media Company
May 23, 2018
Victoria Racing Club, Ascot, Goodwood and the Breeders’ Cup have joined forces to form a new horse racing media company.
‘World Horse Racing’ will focus on the sport’s main personalities, both human and equine, as well as famous courses in a bid to offer a new angle on thoroughbred horse racing.
The business will also look to increase fan engagement by offering a platform for user-generated content, available for free on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.
Social Media content for World Horse Racing will be produced and managed by iSportconnect’s partner, Engage Digital Partners, who produce content for some of the most successful sports and entertainment brands globally.
Neil Wilson, Chief Executive of the Victoria Racing Club, said: “World Horse Racing is another layer to the VRC’s innovative media content strategy, which is focussed on leveraging the broad range of content we generate across both racing and non-racing genres and optimising the reach of this content through carefully considered distribution across multiple platforms, both locally and globally.
Ascot’s chief commercial officer, Juliet Slot, added: “World Horse Racing gives us the perfect platform to reach a new generation of fans and give a more compelling and engaging story arc compared to standard news coverage.”
The horse racing flat season is well underway, with the famous Epsom Derby set to take place on the 2nd June.
