Heavy Haulage Speed Off with Erebus Motorsport in Naming Rights Deal
January 17, 2013
V8 Supercars’ Erebus Motorsport have announced Heavy Haulage Australia as the naming rights sponsor of Tim Slade’s No.47 car.
Australia’s largest heavy haulage and lifting solutions company, Heavy Haulage Australia first dipped their toe into V8 Supercars’ waters last year, sponsoring Tekno Autosports at several rounds.
This year the company will step up to a full-time sponsorship deal, replacing the team’s former sponsor Lucky 7 convenience stores which departed the sport at the end of 2012.
“In 2013 Erebus Motorsport represents a new team and a new manufacturer to the category, so the timing is ideal to also introduce a new full-time stakeholder to V8 Supercars,” Ryan Maddison, Erebus Motorsport CEO said.
“Erebus Motorsport is new to V8 Supercars but incorporates a family tradition, similarly HHA are a family based company and like Erebus are located locally in South East Queensland.
Heavy Haulage Australia founder and CEO Jon Kelly, commented on the deal: “This partnership with Erebus Motorsport, particularly with their move to Mercedes-Benz will provide us with massive national and international exposure and coincide with our recent entry into the Western Australia and Northern Territory markets.
“We are proud to be one of few logistics and transportation companies to support V8 Supercars and we are extremely excited to partner with Erebus at such an exciting time in the sport.”
