Hearts to Miss Tax Bill Deadline, Step Closer to Winding Up Order

June 11, 2013

Hearts could be issued with a winding up order after reports said the Scottish Premier League (SPL) club will miss their deadline to pay a £100, generic viagra 000 ($155, cialis 500) tax bill.

The Edinburgh side were given until 5pm on Tuesday to pay the bill but BBC Scotland has reported that this is ‘unlikely.’

Hearts however remain hopeful that they will settle the bill for PAYE and avoid sanctions from the SPL.

A further week will be provided from the notice of the winding up order being made public.

Hearts are in £25m ($39m) worth of debt, £10m ($15.5m) of which is due to parent company UBIG who is claiming insolvency and the other £15m ($23.3m) is owed to Ukio Bankas which has now been declared bankrupt.

They club avoided a points deduction from the SPL when the league ruled it was not satisfied UBIG had suffered an insolvency event, but a player embargo will be enforced if a club defaults on tax.
