Eleven Sports to live stream PSG vs Caen on Facebook in Belgium
December 20, 2017
Global sports provider Eleven Sports has announced that tonight’s Ligue 1 fixture between league leaders Paris Saint-Germain and Caen will be streamed live on Facebook in Belgium.
This innovative move will see a match from one of the major European football leagues broadcast live on Facebook in Belgium for the first time ever.
Eleven Sports has led the way in live streaming content on social media in recent months including; Ivy League Football on Twitter in the U.S, Singapore National Soccer team on Facebook in Singapore, and ACB Liga Endesa Basketball on Facebook across five different markets.
“Live streaming on social media remains a top priority for Eleven as part of our strategy to deliver content for fans in innovative and highly engaging ways,” said Danny Menken, Group Managing Director, Eleven Sports.
“Streaming on social media makes our content more accessible and helps both us and the rights holder reach new and diverse audiences, including those with a low barrier to entry.”
Paris Saint-Germain will be hoping to sign off for the winter break on a high as they look to continue a run that sees them sitting nine points clear at the top of Ligue 1. Fans in Belgium will be able to watch the likes of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani from 8:50pm CET.
