CNBC Confirmed as Virgin Racing’s Business Media Partner

An announcement made in London today, capsule March 14, view saw CNBC confirmed as the new ‘official business media partner’ of the Virgin Racing team.

The agreement will see the broadcaster’s logos feature on the team’s cars and driver race suits, medic as well as in its hospitality areas at each Grand Prix this season.

Existing partners of the team will also benefit from business-to-business opportunities from the platform of CNBC’s global television channel and its website, while the broadcaster also announced plans to devote programming to the team and Formula One throughout the season.

Andy Webb, the newly appointed chief executive of the team, stated: “This is a very exciting partnership which underlines the strategic, targeted and intricate nature of our offering and its appeal to our rapidly expanding portfolio of commercial partners.”

President and chief executive of CNBC for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Mick Buckley added: “CNBC is extremely excited to be joining forces with Marussia Virgin Racing at this significant stage in the team’s development.
