The Action
After creating one of the most successful entries into gaming for a non-endemic brand, the project stepped up a gear. Through several strategic activations utilising influencers, social strategy across 6 platforms and esport activations, KFC is now leading the way for non-endemic brands in the space.
KFC ROYALE – CALL OF DUTY BATTLE ROYALE TOURNAMENT
As a part of our overall gaming & esports strategy we ran a world first influencer / community hybrid tournament alongside Activision. The objective was to launch both brands into a wider market via influencer and community engagement.
Combined with a wider campaign, we activated 16 influencers simultaneously on Twitch, taking over the platform and raising mass awareness for the new KFC Gaming brand. The results were fantastic, with over 50 million impressions and 2 million engagements over a two week period.
KFC CRASH TEAM RACING – INFLUENCER / COMMUNITY TOURNAMENT
As an example of ongoing content we could look to integrate partner brands within, KFC Gaming’s CTR tournament is a great case study. We partnered with leading influencers, such Ali A, Zerka, Vikkstar and Terrorizer alongside their communities
to launch a fun fueled community tournament resulting.
The results
The results were phenomenal, with millions of views and a strong ROI seen throughout. KFC Royale gained 50m+ impressions and 2m+ engagements, while KFC Crash Team Racing received 10m+ impressions, 350k+ engagements.
