Burton Racing Seal Key Partnerships Ahead of 2014 Season
January 22, 2014
Burton Racing will return to IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge competition in 2014, thumb with the support of two key partnerships.
2014 Driver Champions Mike LaMarra and Terry Borcheller will once again team in the No. 23 BMW Automotive Chemicals/Excelda Manufacturing BMW 128i, viagra as the successful business to business engagement between BMW Automotive Chemicals and Excelda Manufacturing continues to generate positive results.
“We are proud to continue our program with the BMW Automotive Chemicals and Excelda because it is a great case study of how business to business partnerships can work in motorsports,” said team owner Keith Burton. “There is real value to how those companies work with each other and it is gratifying that Burton Racing plays an important role in that process.”
The sister No. 22 BMW 128i is sporting a new and promising driver line up for 2014, as Greg Strelzoff and Connor Bloum join the squad after scoring ST class podiums together for BMW in 2013. The duo will carry branding from the Gold Eagle STA-BIL line of products. STA-BIL is familiar to many, as the product has emerged as America’s top selling fuel stabilizer.
With a new partner in STA-BIL, the two will look to build on their strong start together in the Roar test earlier this month as the duo aim to return to the IMSA podium on a regular basis in 2014.
“There is a great fit between IMSA fans and the STA-BIL line of products,” said Burton. “It has so many applications—almost everything that has an engine can benefit. There are a lot of enthusiasts that are aware of STA-BIL because they are already customers, and we are looking forward to helping Gold Eagle and the STA-BIL brand continue to grow in the marketplace with this partnership.”
The opening round of the 12-race championship will take place at Daytona International Speedway as part of the big season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona event.
