On 4th may 2017 Tech RightNow Digital was awarded ‘Best New Innovation’ at this year’s Sports Technology Awards, seeing off competition from industry heavyweights such as BT Sport and Intel.

The Awards, a globally unique celebration of technology-led innovations across sports, is recognized as an international mark of excellence throughout the sports industry.

Eveey year, it receives hundreds of entries from over 30 countries, representing more than 50 sports and is judged by a panel of 32 international experts, including industry leaders and former and current elite athletes such as Gareth Southgate, Dame Katherine Grainger and Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson.

The ‘Best New Innovation’ category celebrates the best technology created between June 2014 and November 2016 with BT Sport UHD, Dugout, Genius Sports, Intel 360 Replay Technology and Spalk also on the shortlist.

Mark Hunter, director of the Sports Technology Awards explained RightNow Digital’s victory “The judges were impressed by a solution that enabled brands to create their own mobile media channels and thereby take advantage of all the features native apps provide. This means brands can extend their reach, improve end-user targeting and ensure data is retained by the client, rather than social platforms.”

Simon Ryley, Founder of RightNow Digital said "We are absolutely delighted to win this award as it really is the most respected in the sports tech sector. I am also proud of the product we have produced; our effectiveness is demonstrated by the fact our solutions average open rates of 100 times in a 12-month period, bucking the industry trend where 66% of apps are opened fewer than 10 times annually”.
