The 127th IOC session concluded in Monaco yesterday with President Thomas Bach’s Agenda 2020, which included 40 proposals, being unanimously approved at the IOC congress.
One of the main changes approved was the bidding process for Olympic Games.
What impact will the Agenda 2020 have on the Olympic legacy in years to come?
How will it effect the bidding process for the 2024 Olympic Games?
It was certainly a historic day for the Olympic movement and a big accomplishment by President Thomas Bach having spent just over a year in the role.
More cities will be expected to bid for the 2024 Games with this new bidding system in place with Paris, Saint Petersburg, Rome, Berlin, Baku and many others all understood to be interested in bidding.
Is the possibility of host cities staging Olympic events in more than one city a good thing or could it have a negative impact?
